Okay, here are the basics to using this forum.
Changing profile info:
Near the top of the screen where it says 'home' search' ect, it also has a profile button. Press it and go to 'modify profile'.
Here you can change pretty much all of your settings.
To add an avatar where is says avatar URL: enter the link of your avatar, and the dimensions. But note that the max is 100 x 100, so if you go over, it will resise it and make it all pixel-ly.
To change the signature, just add text or images into the signature area.
Adding images/ video into a post or signature:
get the url of the image and place it between [*img*] here[/img*]
and take away the *.
or if you do a proper reply, you'll see a whole bunch of icons above the text area, including smileys. of these find the one that looks like a photograph. click it and it will add the code in automatically.
Our forum host only allows youtube vids. to add one, place the youtube address between: [youtube*]here[/youtube*] without the *. or when replying, hit the icon that says 'tube'.

Q. what are those trash bins bellow my name for?
A. those are post rankings. as you post more, the number and colour will change.
Q. How come admins and mod have text under their name, e.g. illy has 'the editor'. Can I have one too?
A. sorry but no. The titles under the name is strictly for people who make contributions to the trash online magazine.
